Sites for Education Materials and Information

Use any of these links provided to print out information for students, get experiments your students can do, or receive free educational materials for classroom use.

US EPA provides many good sources of information on a wide range of environmental topics. www.epa.gov/teachers/

For education materials on air quality see www.intheair.org

ADEQ developed Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) in partnership with the University of Arizona to provide educational materials for Arizona teachers to use in their classrooms. Curricula are available for grades K-12. For more information visit the Arizona Project WET. This is an excellent resource to learn and incorporate water education in your classrooms!

Interactive Sites

Smog City is a fun site for you and your students to visit and learn more about what can affect the quality of the air we breathe and ways we can help keep our air clean.

Recycle City is an EPA site to learn more about recycling and waste. Recycling is a fun and easy way for students to help protect our environment. You can have your students help sort the recyclable waste generated in your classroom and take them to the proper location for pick up. If your school already has recycling pick-up you probably already have the bins in your classroom.
